Makeup Mondays: Maybelline Color Whisper Review

So I have a little something to tell you guys before I go on with this review... I hate lip products. I don't know what it is or why really but I never have been  fan of lipsticks and lipgloss (especially lipgloss ew). I figured it was because I'm just too darn lazy to actually reapply throughout the day. I mean, how tedious does that sound? And I'm always a big advocate for natural beauty or "less is more" sorta thing, so why wear red lipstick everyday to school when you can wear chapstick and save the color for a special occasion? Am I right? Now, don't get me wrong I do have some lipsticks and whatnot but its just one of those things that sits in my drawers rarely used (and if used, it's only for special occasions).
However, with that being said recently I've had some strange disease come over me that is making me obsessed with lip products. So obsessed that I actually went out and BOUGHT a lipstick rather than steal them from my mom's makeup collection. Crazy...I know. With a $2 off coupon in hand I went down to Walgreens and purchased a Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick in "Go Nude 05":

Price: At my Walgreens it was priced at $7.49. yikes! (luckily I had a coupon!)
     RATE: 3/5

Color Pay Off: I know the swatch is quite light, but on the lips it gives you the most gorgeous light nude/pink sheen. Its sheer enough that it doesn't make you look like a ghost but has enough color that it does give a nice tint to the lips. My lips are naturally very dark so the lipstick naturally lightened the color for a nice "nude" look. Being that I never have owned a nude lipstick because I believed it would wash me out, I was pleasantly surprised with the color.

Texture: Has a "dewey" after gloss. Very natural and not sticky or goopy. It's very "light" on the lips and feels as if I'm just wearing chapstick. It's also, SUPER moisturizing!

Smell: Has a fresh yet sugary smell to it! I absolutely love it.
     RATE: 5/5

Lasting Power: Being that its not necessarily meant to last all day it does not have great lasting power, so I do have to reapply when wearing it. But to be honest, I'm ok with that!

Packaging: Super cute! Very sleek. However, color of the tube does not match color of the lip product.

Would you Repurchase? Yes, I would repurchase this product in various colors! Maybe it's high time I get on that lip product hype.
